Art & Story 56 - The Big Comfort Zone

Mark and I take a break from digging deep into our craft this week. Instead, we relax and celebrate what we consider to be our strengths as cartoonists.

The more cartoonists I talk with on the live show, the more I'm convinced that we must reflect on our strengths from time to time. As we strive to improve ourselves as artists and writers, we're bound to amass a bigger and bigger "bag of tricks" (thanks for that term, Dan Mishkin!). It's easy to get lost in the anxiety that comes with constantly striving to improve one's art. Taking a moment to look at how far we've come is a good reminder of why we do this in the first place, as well as a hopeful sign in those dark hours in the studio.
